Ancient beliefs behind Incense burning

My early childhood memories also include waking up to the aromatic fragrance of incense sticks lit up inside the ‘puja ghar’. My mother and grandmother would worship the deity early morning, and after chanting mantras, they would light up two incense sticks and would spread its aroma all over the house, as if blessing every corner with purity.
