When Fragrance Became Devotion: Shri Krishna Leela Collection’s International Samarpan in London

“Om Krishnaya Vasudevaya Haraye Paramatmane,” the sacred chant resonated softly through the elegant halls of the Nehru Centre, London, filling the air with divine energy. Thus began an evening that transcended borders — a night where art, fragrance, and devotion came together in perfect harmony.

On October 8, 2025, the Nehru Centre witnessed the International Samarpan of the Shri Krishna Leela Collection — an initiative by Ramalaya and JPSR Prabhu Shriram that redefines how India shares its culture with the world.

A Fragrant Offering from India to the World

The evening began with a short film on the Shri Krishna Leela Collection — a poetic narrative showing how fragrance can become a form of prayer, blending the divine stories of Krishna’s Leelas with India’s ancient art of perfumery.

Every frame of the film echoed a profound truth: fragrance is not just about aroma; it is about memory, devotion, and consciousness.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Prashant Kumar, CMD of Mode Retail Sales & Marketing Pvt. Ltd. and Founder of Ramalaya & JPSR Prabhu Shriram, shared the philosophy that guides his vision:

“Each creation we make is a living story — a confluence of bhava (emotion), bhakti (devotion), and sugandha (fragrance). Through fragrance, we are not just creating luxury; we are creating mindfulness.”

Mr. Kumar spoke passionately about India’s role as Vishwa Guru — a global teacher of values, consciousness, and balance. Through initiatives like Ramalaya, he believes India’s soft power can be shared with the world in a tangible and sensory way — through fragrance, art, and storytelling.

Krishna in Kathak – The Dance of Divinity

The highlight of the evening was a mesmerizing Kathak performance by the celebrated artist Richa Srivastava, titled “Krishna in Kathak.”

Her performance portrayed three divine episodes:

  • Kaliya Mardan – symbolizing the victory of purity and nature over darkness
  • Vastra Haran – portraying Krishna as the eternal protector and divine Nayak
  • Radha Krishna Thumri – expressing the soul’s union with divine love

With each graceful movement, Richa transformed the stage into Vrindavan, where rhythm, devotion, and fragrance merged into one divine experience.

Words of Appreciation

Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Deputy Director, Nehru Centre, London, praised the initiative, saying:

“This International Samarpan beautifully represents India’s cultural diplomacy, where fragrance, art, and dance together communicate the universality of Krishna’s message of love and harmony.”

His words captured the essence of the evening — how India’s art and spirituality continue to unite hearts across continents.

The Fragrance of Krishna Leela

Each fragrance from the Shri Krishna Leela Collection reflects a story — Makhanchor’s innocence, Govardhan’s gratitude, Sudama’s humility, and Raas Leela’s transcendental love.

As the evening concluded with the ceremonial presentation of the Shri Krishna Leela Collection to the Nehru Centre, it became more than a gesture — it was India’s fragrant offering of peace, love, and spiritual consciousness to the world.

A Fragrant Future

The International Samarpan in London marked another milestone in Ramalaya’s global journey, reaffirming that India’s culture is not meant to be preserved in museums but experienced in everyday life. Through fragrance, art, and storytelling, Ramalaya continues to remind the world that devotion can be lived, not just remembered.
